about

"Hymns in the Wind" was an album mostly made up of long discarded and forgotten songs. In a way, it was a clean-up exercise.

In the years before, we had ditched a lot of good songs because they didn't work the first time we attempted to play them (yes, we were that impatient and awkward) or they simply got lost when newer songs came along.

Some of the songs were ones that had been previously released but felt we never got the chance to properly do justice, so we tried them again.

This little compilation shows how the tracks for "Hymns" came about, the warts and all demos that led us back to the songs we gave a second lease of life to, as well as one unreleased track from the album sessions, "Something To Do".

Everything played, written and recorded by Stevie McEwan and Shane Simmons at a variety of times and places.
